Unboxing and Setting Up Your Twinkle Beds Mattress

  1. Get Help: Unboxing your Twinkle Beds mattress requires two people to make it easier and safer.
  2. Remove Outer Plastic Shrink Wrap:
    • Unroll the mattress from the box.
    • As you unroll, pull away the outer plastic shrink wrap.
    • The mattress will begin to roll forward. Keep pulling until you reach the inner plastic.
  3. Handle the Mattress with Care:
    • If you run out of room to unroll, have two people gently pull the plastic while the mattress rests against a wall or a stable surface.
    • Be cautious and avoid damaging the mattress while removing the shrink wrap.
  4. Cutting the Inner Plastic:
    • Once you reach the inner plastic, it’s time to lift the mattress onto its bed base or platform.
    • Carefully cut the inner plastic along one side using scissors.
    • Be sure not to cut the mattress itself – there should be enough slack in the plastic to work with.
  5. Unfold and Let the Mattress Expand:
    • As you remove the inner plastic, the mattress will start to decompress.
    • Let the mattress fully expand, and allow time for it to reach its full size.
  6. Important Notes:
    • Twinkle Beds is not responsible for any damage that occurs during unpackaging.
    • Make sure you have enough space and a stable surface to unbox and set up the mattress safely.

After unpackaging your Twinkle Beds mattress, here's what you should expect regarding when it's ready for sleep:

  1. Allow Time to Expand: It's recommended to unwrap and open your mattress in the morning to give it time to fully expand. This allows the mattress to decompress properly.
  2. First Night Sleep: The mattress may feel a bit firmer than expected during the first couple of nights. Don’t worry! This is normal, as the layers need time to fully expand and "break in" with your movement over time.
  3. Cold Climate Considerations: If you're in a cold climate, it’s best to bring the mattress inside overnight before opening it. Allow it to acclimate to room temperature, as it will expand more effectively and quickly when it's not cold or frozen.

In summary, you can sleep on the mattress the same night, but it might take a few nights for it to fully soften and adjust to your body.

Once your Twinkle Beds mattress is picked up for return, it may take up to 30 days for the refund to be processed.

Your Twinkle Bed mattress can be used on any flat surface. Over time, the mattress will conform to the foundation it’s placed on. While the Twinkle Base and Adjustable Base are recommended, you can also use a traditional box spring,
platform bed, or wooden panels. Keep these things in mind:

1. Box Springs: Over time, box springs may bow. Metal box springs are best, as they are less likely to bow, but avoid jumping on the bed to prevent bending the metal.

2. Wooden Panels: Ensure the panels are not uneven, and the spacing between them should be no more than 4 inches.

3. Slats: Slats should be no more than 4 inches apart.

4. Metal Platforms & Adjustable Bases: These are highly recommended for durability and longevity.

While all Twinkle Beds are hybrid models with individually wrapped coils, durable materials, and a handcrafted design for longevity, it is still recommended to rotate your mattress ideally every 3-4 months, or at least twice a year. This helps maintain its durability and ensures it retains a fresh, new-like feel.

While many people experience an instant connection with their Twinkle Bed, it’s normal for your body to need some time to adjust. The mattress itself also requires time to expand and break in. You should have a clearer sense within the first couple of weeks whether the Twinkle Bed you purchased is the right fit for you.

Because the pocketed coils at the base of the mattress are designed to contour to your body, they should be compressed top to bottom, not side to side. For this reason, we recommend that when moving or storing your Twinkle Beds mattress, it must be kept flat and never stored on its side. Storing or transporting the mattress on its side could damage it, which may void the warranty.
